We are a group of artists articulated around the production and sale of our own works. We created this platform to circulate, present and make our works of art viable, as well as actively position ourselves in the financial, contractual and marketing decisions and actions that make up our work. We are interested in creating a flexible and present structure that can contemplate different formats, research, experimentation and nature of work. We wish to provide space for research and the generation of thought and debate to test other forms of insertion and interaction with the art market. The acronym GDA at the moment corresponds to Artists Gallery. In the future it may correspond to other things
At the moment, the project's board consists of the artists Bruno Baptistelli and Carolina Cordeiro, in addition to other advisory members.
Initially, we chose not to have a fixed physical space, in order to cultivate a flexibility of resources, locations and partnerships that allow us to act according to the needs of the works on display.
After our first year, we chose to establish our activities in Barra Funda, 654, integrating the movement of galleries and studios that moved to the region.
The financial recognition of the artist's work is a very important part of the issues that permeate the universe of art. A direct and transparent approach to pricing, sales and liability decisions are elements that guide our actions.
We believe that the acquisition of a work of art happens when a mutual interest meets in the middle. We want to dialogue, tell and collaborate with you in this project and in our trajectories.
